Request IP address You can specify the IP address you desired. But the ISP has the right to neglect it and provides you a different one. MTU (576-1500) You can specify the MTU (maximum transmission unit) of your home gateway. The default value is 1500 bytes and in normal case, you don't have to change. MAC Cloning Some ISPs will identify the MAC address registered by the user. If not registered, the ISP won't allow the traffic to pass.
