Operation Audible Alarm The UPS sounds an audible alarm to warn of a problem. For information on what to do if the UPS detects an alarm condition, refer to Chapter 5, "Troubleshooting." IMPORTANT: Certain audible alarms can be disabled. For more information, refer to Chapter 5, "Troubleshooting." Table 2-1: Audible Alarm Conditions Alarm Condition General Alarm Site Wiring Fault Indicator UPS on Auto-Bypass Normal UPS on Battery Battery Problem Activated on ambient over-temperature, REPO, fan failure, heatsink over-temperature, self-test failure, charger failure, or any other transient condition. Earth (ground) connection is lost. Load unprotected; UPS transferred to Auto-Bypass due to inverter problems or general alarm. Operating from utility. Operating from battery. Battery disconnected.
