TouchPad Description TouchPad TouchPad cable Spare part number L31559-001 L28668-001 (Cable Kit) Before removing the TouchPad, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 31). Remove the TouchPad: 1. Disconnect the card reader/audio cable from the system board ZIF connector (1). 2. Remove the cable from the adhesive that secures it to the TouchPad (2). 3. Disconnect the TouchPad cable from the TouchPad ZIF connector (3). 4. Remove the cable from the adhesive that secures it to the TouchPad (4). 5. Disconnect the NFC antenna cable from the NFC board ZIF connector (5). 6. Before removing the TouchPad, follow these steps:
1.

Remove the TouchPad:
1.
Disconnect the card reader/audio cable from the system board ZIF connector

Remove the cable from the adhesive that secures it to the TouchPad

Disconnect the TouchPad cable from the TouchPad ZIF connector

4.
Remove the cable from the adhesive that secures it to the TouchPad
(4)

5.
Disconnect the NFC antenna cable from the NFC board ZIF connector
(5)
.
6.
Remove the six Phillips M2.0×2.0 screws
(1)
that secure the TouchPad to the top cover.
