Starting up and Shutting down the Printer B Select the printer you want to start from the Registered Printer List, and then click Pre-operation Check. Tip: O If the selected printer is already available, the Pre-operation Check button is unavailable. O If the cable connected to the printer is disconnected, or the printer's Power switch is off, an error message is displayed because connection is not possible. Check the contents of the message. U "Errors and Solutions" on page 118 C Perform the manual check items displayed on the screen. Click OK after completing the operations. When you click OK, the printer automatically performs a Pre-operation Check. It takes about 4 to 5 minutes to complete the Pre-operation Check. Tip: If the Printer PC does not shut down correctly for any reason such as a power failure, the Printer PC may not start after performing a Pre-operation Check. If this happens, start the Printer PC manually, and then perform a Pre-operation Check. 27
