Operating on Battery Power Checking the battery A fully charged battery provides approximately 10 hours of playback with typical usage. The rate of battery discharge varies with the volume setting. To check the battery charge level, press and hold while observing the battery indicator . You hear remaining battery percentage. Tip: To extend the battery playback time, reduce the volume. System state Battery indicator Charged / High charge Charging / Medium charge Charge needed / Low charge Note: Recommended charging time is four hours (see page 12). Battery protection mode The system enters battery protection mode to preserve battery power when the system is unplugged and unused for: • More than 24 days, or • Three days with a remaining charge of less than 10 percent To reactivate the system, connect it to AC (mains) power (see page 12). Note: D o not store the system for extended periods when the battery indicator blinks red. When not in use, store the speaker in a cool place.
