If space inside your computer cabinet is limited, connect your disk drives to the SCSI cable before installing them. Uninstalling Your Adaptec 29320LPE To uninstall your Adaptec SCSI Card 29320LPE: 1 Turn off your system and disconnect the power cord. Open the cabinet, following the manufacturer's instructions. Read the safety information on page 45. 2 Remove the SCSI card from the PCIe slot. Close the computer cabinet, reattach the system's power cord, then power on your system. Note: The setup of some operating systems do not delete the device driver from your system disk; it only updates the software configuration information so that the device driver is no longer loaded during system startup. Replacing a SCSI Card The task of replacing one SCSI card with another is similar to the task of adding a SCSI card. When replacing a SCSI card, though, you add the new SCSI card before removing the old one. Note: If you do not install the new SCSI card first, your operating system may fail to boot. If this happens, remove the new SCSI card and reinstall the original one. To replace a SCSI card: 1 Turn off your system and disconnect the power cord. Open the cabinet, following the manufacturer's instructions. Read the Safety Information on page 45.

Uninstalling Your Adaptec 29320LPE
To uninstall your Adaptec SCSI Card 29320LPE:

Turn off your system and disconnect the power cord. Open the cabinet, following the
manufacturer’s instructions. Read the safety information on
page 45
.

Remove the SCSI card from the PCIe slot. Close the computer cabinet, reattach the
system’s power cord, then power on your system.
Note:
The setup of some operating systems do not delete the device driver from your system
disk; it only updates the software configuration information so that the device driver is no
longer loaded during system startup.
Replacing a SCSI Card
The task of replacing one SCSI card with another is similar to the task of adding a SCSI card.
When replacing a SCSI card, though, you add the new SCSI card before removing the old one.
