89 ODD (optical disk drive) activity indicator does not light Do the following: • Make sure the ODD drive is properly connected to your system. • Check that drive is properly configured. ODD tray cannot be ejected Insert the tip of a paperclip into the small hole on the ODD drive. Slowly pull the tray out from the drive until the tray is fully extended then remove the disc. ODD drive cannot read a disc Do the following: • Make sure you are using the correct type of disc. • Make sure the disc is properly seated in the drive. • Make sure the disc is unscratched. • Make sure the ODD drive is properly connected to your system. Hard drives are not recognized Do the following: • Make sure the disk controller is not disabled in the BIOS setup. • Make sure the drive is compatible. Bootable DVD drive is not detected Make sure the Boot option setting in the BIOS setup utility is configured to allow the DVD drive to be the first bootable device.

Do the following:
Make sure the ODD drive is properly connected to your system.
Check that drive is properly configured.
ODD tray cannot be ejected
Insert the tip of a paperclip into the small hole on the ODD drive.
Slowly pull the tray out from the drive until the tray is fully extended
then remove the disc.
ODD drive cannot read a disc
Do the following:
Make sure you are using the correct type of disc.
Make sure the disc is properly seated in the drive.
Make sure the disc is unscratched.
Make sure the ODD drive is properly connected to your system.
Hard drives are not recognized
Do the following:
Make sure the disk controller is not disabled in the BIOS setup.
Make sure the drive is compatible.
Bootable DVD drive is not detected
Make sure the Boot option setting in the BIOS setup utility is
configured to allow the DVD drive to be the first bootable device.
