Therefore, keep sparks, flames, cigarettes, etc., away from the battery and provide sufficient ventilation when charging it in an enclosed space. KEEP THIS AND ALL BATTERIES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. 3. Turn the ECU over to move it away from the wire harness protective cover as shown. 2 To access the battery 1. Remove the rider seat. To access the battery
1.
Remove the rider seat. (See page

2.
Unhook the battery band, and then
remove the battery cover.
3.
Turn the ECU over to move it away
from the wire harness protective
cover as shown.
4.
Open the wire harness protective
cover, pull the wire harness for-
ward, away from the battery, and
then remove the cover by sliding it
out from under the wire harness in
the direction shown.
To charge the battery
Have a Yamaha dealer charge the bat-
tery as soon as possible if it seems to
have discharged. Keep in mind that the
