Air in the hydraulic system will diminish the braking performance, which may result in loss of control and an accident. NOTE: The brake pedal position should be adjusted before adjusting the brake pedal free play. Brake pedal position The brake pedal should be positioned approximately XVS65ATX 108.0 mm (4.25 in) XVS65ATXC 108.0 mm (4.25 in) XVS65AX 108.0 mm (4.25 in) XVS65AXC 108.0 mm (4.25 in) XVS65X 82.0 mm (3.23 in) XVS65XC 82.0 mm (3.23 in) above the top of the footrest as shown. Periodically check the brake pedal position and, if necessary, adjust it as follows. 1. Loosen the locknut at the brake pedal. 2. To raise the brake pedal, turn the adjusting bolt in direction (a). Brake pedal position
The brake pedal should be positioned

(4.25 in)

XVS65X 82.0 mm (3.23 in)
XVS65XC 82.0 mm (3.23 in) above the
top of the footrest as shown. Periodical-
ly check the brake pedal position and, if
necessary, adjust it as follows.
1. Loosen the locknut at the brake
pedal.
