INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS To open a sidecase 1. Insert the key into the lock, turn it counterclockwise, and then push it in. To close a sidecase 1. Fold the sidecase lid down. 2. Turn the key clockwise, and then remove it. NOTE: Push the lid down so that the latch snaps into place. 3 CAUTION: To avoid locking the key in, never lock either sidecase and remove the key from the lock before closing the lid. ECA13090 EAU14812 Adjusting the shock absorber assembly This shock absorber assembly is equipped with a spring preload adjusting nut. ECA10100 CAUTION: Never attempt to turn an adjusting mechanism beyond the maximum or minimum settings. Adjust the spring preload as follows. 1. Loosen the locknut. 1. Sidecase lock 2. Unlock. 2. To open a sidecase
1.
