ECA11470 EAU21300 Adjusting the carburetor The carburetor is an important part of the engine and requires very sophisticated adjustment. Therefore, all carburetor adjustments should be left to a Yamaha dealer, who has the necessary professional knowledge and experience. 1 2 3 4 CAUTION: To avoid damaging the air filter sponge material, handle it gently and carefully, and do not twist it. 1 2 3 5 6 7 8 9 4 CAUTION: G Make sure that the air filter sponge material is properly seated in the air filter case. G The engine should never be operated without the air filter sponge material installed, otherwise the piston and/or cylinder may become excessively worn. 6. Install the air filter case cover by placing it in the original position, fastening it with the clamp, then installing the screws. 7. Install the panel. 4. Apply oil of the recommended type to the entire surface of the air filter sponge material, and then squeeze the excess oil out. NOTE: The air filter sponge material should be wet but not dripping. Recommended oil: Yamaha foam air filter oil or other quality air filter oil 6-8
