EWA10380 EAU20500 Cleaning the air filter elements The air filter elements should be cleaned at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication chart. Clean the air filter elements more frequently if you are riding in unusually wet or dusty areas. 1. Remove cowlings A and B. (See page 7-8.) NOTE: Continue as follows for each air filter element. 2. Remove the air filter case by removing the bolts. WARNING 1. Coolant reservoir cap Never attempt to remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. 5. Install the panel. NOTE: G The radiator fan is automatically switched on or off according to the coolant temperature in the radiator. G If the engine overheats, see page 7-36 for further instructions.
