ESU00213 Battery For VT700 Replenishing the battery fluid 1. Check the fluid level. The level should be between the upper and lower level marks. a "UPPER LEVEL" b "LOWER LEVEL" 2. Add only distilled water if necessary. CAUTION: @ Normal tap water contains minerals which are harmful to a battery; therefore refill only with distilled water. @ WARNING @ Battery electrolyte is poisonous and dangerous. It contains sulfuric acid and can cause severe burns. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. ANTIDOTE: G EXTERNAL: Flush with water. G INTERNAL: Drink large quantities of water or milk. Follow with milk of magnesia, beaten egg, or vegetable oil. Call physician immediately. G EYES: Flush with water for 15 minutes and get prompt medical attention. Batteries produce explosive gases. Keep sparks, flame, cigarettes, etc. away. Ventilate when charging or using in an enclosed space. Always shield your eyes when working near batteries. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. @ 8-28
