6. Clean the oil strainer and oil filter with solvent. 7. Inspect the O-ring and replace if damaged. 8. Install the oil filter, O-ring, and oil filter cover. 9. Replace the oil strainer, compression spring, O-ring and drain bolt. Then, tighten the drain bolt and oil filter cover bolts to the specified torques. 10. Fill the engine with oil and install the dipstick. Recommended oil: See page 5-7. Oil quantity: Periodic oil change: 1.5 L (1.3 Imp qt, 1.6 US qt) With oil filter replacement: 1.6 L (1.4 Imp qt, 1.7 US qt) Total amount: 1.8 L (1.6 Imp qt, 1.9 US qt) CAUTION: _ Before installing the drain bolt, be sure to install the O-ring, compression spring and oil strainer. _ CAUTION: _ Be sure no foreign material enters the crankcase. _ Tightening torque: Drain bolt (engine): 43 Nm (4.3 m·kgf, 31 ft·lbf) Oil filter cover bolt: 10 Nm (1.0 m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf) 8-7 11. Warm up the engine for several minutes at idle speed. Check for oil leakage while warming up.
