OPERATION Driving On Slippery Surfaces WARNING Skidding or sliding can cause loss of control or overturn (if tires regain traction unexpectedly). When operating on slippery surfaces, reduce speed and use extra caution to reduce the chance of skidding or sliding out of control. Do not operate on excessively slippery surfaces. Whenever driving on slippery surfaces Sideways Turn in direction such as wet or icy pavement or loose skid of skid gravel, follow these precautions: 1. Do not operate on excessively slippery surfaces. 2. Slow down before driving onto a slippery surface. 3. Avoid quick, sharp turns, which can cause skids. 4. Correct a skid by turning the steering wheel in the direction of the skid. Never apply the brakes during a skid. 91

Whenever driving on slippery surfaces
such as wet or icy pavement or loose
gravel, follow these precautions:
1.
Do not operate on excessively slip-
pery surfaces.
2.
Slow down before driving onto a
slippery surface.
3.
