FEATURES AND CONTROLS Rear Accessory Backs (Option) WARNING! Never carry a passenger on a rear accessory back. Do not overload an accessory back. Overloading the vehicle can reduce stability and handling and could cause loss of control. Never exceed the GVWR or the GAWR. See page 22. NOTICE: Use only GEM-approved rear accessories. Others may cause damage to the locking system or vehicle, and will void warranty. 1. Remove the contents of the installed rear accessory back. 2. Ensure that the safety strap is secured. CAUTION! Before releasing the rear latch, always make sure the safety strap is secure. The rear back can fall suddenly and cause injury or damage to the vehicle if the safety strap is not secured. 3. Firmly grasp the installed back to prevent it from tipping or falling. 4. Use the ignition key to unlock the latch release handle. Tip: There is a separate key for the TrunkBack™ cover lock. 78

Never carry a passenger on a rear accessory back. Do not overload an accessory back.
Overloading the vehicle can reduce stability and handling and could cause loss of control.

NOTICE:
Use only GEM-approved rear accessories. Others may cause damage to the locking system
or vehicle, and will void warranty.
1.
Remove the contents of the installed rear accessory back.
2.
Ensure that the safety strap is secured.
CAUTION!
Before releasing the rear latch, always make sure the safety strap is secure. The rear back
can fall suddenly and cause injury or damage to the vehicle if the safety strap is not secured.
3.
Firmly grasp the installed back to prevent it from tipping or falling.
4.
Use the ignition key to unlock the latch release handle.
Tip:
There is a separate key for the TrunkBack
cover lock.
