OPERATION Driving Procedures 1. Wear a helmet and eye protection. See page 8. 2. Sit upright with both feet on the footrests and both hands on the handlebars. 3. Start the engine and allow it to warm up. 4. Shift the transmission into gear. 5. Check your surroundings and determine your path of travel. 6. Release the parking brake. 7. Slowly depress the throttle with your right thumb and begin driving. 8. Drive slowly. Practice maneuvering and using the throttle and brakes on level surfaces. 44
