Starting the Engine OPERATION 8. After the engine starts, push the choke knob in half way. 9. Vary the engine RPM slightly with the throttle to aid in warm up until the engine idles smoothly. 10. Push the choke knob in. CAUTION Operating the vehicle immediately after starting could cause engine damage. Allow the engine to warm up for several minutes before operating the vehicle. Stopping the Engine 1. Release the throttle pedal completely and brake to a complete stop. 2. Turn the engine off. 3. Engage the park brake. WARNING A rolling vehicle can cause property damage and serious injury. Always engage the park brake after stopping the engine. Braking 1. Release the throttle pedal completely. 2. Press on the brake pedal evenly and firmly. NOTE: Practice starting and stopping (using the brakes) until you're familiar with the controls. NOTE: When the throttle pedal is released completely and the engine speed drops near an idle, the vehicle has no engine braking. WARNING Failure to allow for increased braking distance when hauling cargo or towing a trailer may result in accident and injury. Always slow down and allow additional braking distance when towing or hauling cargo. 35

OPERATION
Starting the Engine

After the engine starts, push the choke knob in half way.

10. Push the choke knob in.
Stopping the Engine
1.
Release the throttle pedal completely and brake to a complete stop.

Turn the engine off.

Engage the park brake.
Braking

Release the throttle pedal completely.
2.
Press on the brake pedal evenly and firmly.
NOTE:
Practice starting and stopping (using the brakes) until you're familiar
with the controls.
NOTE:
