Installing a GarageDoor Opener 2. Remove the square height adapters from the door. To install a garage door opener in the overhead console, follow these directions: 1. Push the extended tab, which is located in front of the GARAGE button, and pull the door downward. 3. Refer to the chart on the following pages to determine the number and location of the height adapters foryour transmitter unit. If your unit does not appear on the chart, you will have to try random adapter number and location combinations. 2-44
