Stopping the motorcycle Reduce speed, shift down and release the throttle twistgrip. Shift down to engage first gear and then neutral. Apply the brakes and bring the motorcycle to a complete stop. To switch the engine off, simply turn the key to position (2). 2 1 Important Do not leave the key to ON, position (1), with engine off in order to avoid damaging any electrical components.
