If you do not hear a dial tone: • Make sure the installation procedures described above are properly done. • It may be a wiring problem. If you have changed your telephone service to digital service from a cable company or a VoIP service provider, the telephone line may need to be rewired to allow all existing telephone jacks to work. Contact your cable/VoIP service provider for more information. Charge your phone The battery icon • Animates when the battery is charging. • Flashes when the battery is low and needs charging. • Becomes solid when the battery is fully charged. Light on! Charge for at least 30 minutes before initial settings. Charge for 11 hours before initial use. Configure your phone Set date and time . Press MENU when the telephone base/handset is not in use. 2. Scroll to Set date/time, then press SELECT. 3. Enter the month (MM), date (DD) and year (YY), then press SELECT. 4. Enter the hour (HH) and minute (MM). Then scroll to AM or PM. 5. Press SELECT. If you subscribe to caller ID service, the day, month and time are set automatically with each incoming call.
