If idling behavior is erratic or acceleration is poor N Turn the low speed screw (L) 1/8 of a turn (45°) counterclockwise. It is usually necessary to change the setting of the idle speed screw (LA) after every correction to the low speed screw (L) - see "Adjusting the Carburetor". N If your saw is very cold (frost or ice on machine), start the engine and keep it at a high idle speed (with chain brake disengaged) until it reaches normal operating temperature. Cover plate Fitting the cover plate 2 2 1 N Place the cover plate (1) in position, engage the two tabs (arrows), and secure it with the screws (2). There is no risk of overheating during long periods of operation. The heating system is maintenance-free. The cover plate (special accessory) helps prevent snow being sucked into the machine.
