Check that the cutting blades are not touching the ground or any other obstacles. If necessary, rest the gearbox on a raised support (e.g. a mound, brick or something similar). : Make sure you have a firm footing: Press the unit firmly against the ground with your left hand. Your thumb should be under the fan housing. Do not stand or kneel on the drive tube. This will bend the tube and result in permanent damage to the drive tube. HL 100 23
