The unit can receive Multi Channel Linear PCM (up to 8 channels) with a sampling frequency of 192 kHz or less via an HDMI connection. The unit also supports DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby TureHD and object-based audio formats (DTS:X and Dolby Atmos). The eARC/ARC function allows you to receive the TV's audio signal. To enjoy 3D content, connect a 3D-compatible TV and video device (Blu-ray Disc player, Blu-ray Disc recorder, etc.) to the unit using High Speed HDMI Cables with Ethernet. For HDMI cables, be sure to use a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet, which supports bandwidths up to 18 Gbps. For video signals that require a high bandwidth such as 4K/120p, 8K, etc., be sure to use an Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable that supports bandwidths up to 48 Gbps. The HDMI jacks on the unit support the following standards and functions: All HDMI jacks on the unit support High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection System Revision 2.3 (HDCP 2.3). Connect these HDMI jacks to jacks that support HDCP 2.2 or HDCP 2.3 on the TV and AV device. Refer to the operating instructions of the connected device for details. All HDMI jacks support wide color gamut compliant with the ITU-R BT.2020 standard. All HDMI jacks support transmission of Deep Color (Deep Colour), HDR (High Dynamic Range), and 3D video signals. The HDMI IN GAME (for AUDIO) jack, HDMI IN MEDIA BOX jack, HDMI OUT A (TV) jack, and OUT B/ZONE 2 jack support transmission of video signals up to 4K/120p and 8K, compressed video, VRR, and ALLM signals. The HDMI IN BD/DVD jack, HDMI IN SAT/CATV jack, HDMI IN VIDEO jack, and HDMI IN SA-CD/CD (for AUDIO) jack support transmission of video signals up to 4K/60p. HDCP 2.3 is newly enhanced copyright protection technology that is used to protect content such as 4K/8K movies. BT.2020 color space is wider color standard that is defined for ultra-high definition television systems. HDR is a video format that can display a wider range of brightness levels. The unit supports HDR10, HLG (Hybrid LogGamma), and Dolby Vision. VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) is a video transmission method that suppresses video clogging and enables smooth display by adjusting the refresh rate on the display side according to the frame rate of TV game, etc. ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) is a function that automatically switches to low latency mode in conjunction with the output of TV game, etc. Note Depending on the TV or video device, 4K or 3D content may not be displayed. Check the HDMI video formats supported by the unit. When you connect two TVs to the unit, Dolby Vision content may not be displayed. For details, see "Switching the TVs that output the HDMI video signals." Refer to the operating instructions of each connected device for details.
