CUSTOMIZE DUAL MONO SB DEC DIMMER MAIN SUB MAIN+SUB MAIN/SUB SB MATRIX SB AUTO SB OFF DIM OFF DIM ON C/X/x/c/ ENTER AMP MENU With cover opened. 1 Press AMP MENU. 2 Press X/x repeatedly until the item you want to set appears in the front panel display. xSP SETUP Sets the speaker size, distance, and place. xLEVEL Sets the balance and level of the each speaker, and turns on/off the test tone. 3 Press ENTER or c. 4 Press X/x to select the desired item, then press ENTER or c. To set the item, press X/x, then press ENTER or AMP MENU. You can set the following items. The default settings are underlined. xSP SETUP CENTER SP (center speaker) SURR SP (surround speakers) SURR B SPa) (surround back speaker) F DIST (front distance) 1.6m/5 ftb) CEN DISTc) (center distance) 1.6m/5 ftb) SURR DISTc) (surround distance) 1.6m/5 ftb) SB DISTc) (surround back distance) 1.6m/5 ftb) SP POSc) (surround speakers position) CENTER Y: Select this if you use a center speaker. CENTER N: Select this if no center speaker is used. SURR Y: Select this if you use surround speakers. SURR N: Select this if no surround speaker is used. SURR B N: Select this if no surround back speaker is used. SURR B Y: Select this if you use a surround back speaker. Front speaker distance from the listening position can be set in 0.2 meter (1 ft) increments from 1.0 to 7.0 meters (3 to 23 ft). Center speaker distance can be moved up to 1.6 meters (5 ft) closer to the listening position from the front speaker distance, in 0.2 meter (1 ft) increments. Surround speaker distance can be moved up to 4.6 meters (15 ft) closer to the listening position from the front speaker distance, in 0.2 meter (1 ft) increments. Surround back speaker distance can be moved up to 4.6 meters (15 ft) closer to the listening position from the front speaker distance, in 0.2 meter (1 ft) increments. SP BEHIND: Select this if surround speakers are located in the back area of the listening position. SP SIDE: Select this if surround speakers are located in the side area of the listening position. a) This setting appears when you set "SURR SP" to "SURR Y" in "SP SETUP." b) When you perform the Quick Setup (page 27), the default settings are changed. c) This setting appears when you set the corresponding speaker to "Y" in "SP SETUP" (page 85). continued Settings and Adjustments 85US
