! Listening to 2-channel stereo sounds Whilst the disc is playing, press the STEREO button. You can enjoy the great acoustic effects of the front speakers and subwoofer. Bass frequencies can be switched in this mode. SD-AT1000H Notes: " If "STEREO" or "SURROUND" is selected, the " " indicator goes out. " Some discs are recorded at 96 kHz of sampling frequency. When this type of disc is played, the sound mode is changed to "STEREO" automatically. The sound mode cannot be changed during playback. " The monaural sound is heard only from the centre speaker in the "STANDARD" or "SURROUND" mode. If played in the "STEREO" mode, the same sound is repro- duced from the right and left speakers. " When switching to AM radio, "STANDARD" or "SURROUND" mode auto- matically change to "STEREO" and the "STEREO" indicator is lit. Howev- er, AM broadcasts cannot be received in stereo.
