16. Always unplug the power cord before performing the maintenance and adjustment procedures described in this manual. Servicing other than the procedures in this manual should be performed by an authorized service representative only. 17. When the PULSE mode on the console is selected, the console will control the speed and incline of the treadmill to keep your pulse at a preset level. If you have heart problems, or if you are over 60 years of age and have been Inactive, do not use the pulse mode. If you are taking medication regularly, consult with your physician to determine whether the medication will affect your exercise heart rate before using the pulse mode.
