43 STORING These instructions should be followed when a prolonged time of machine inactivity is foreseen. With few, simple steps, the machine will be ready for use again. - With the machine on: - Perform a wash cycle on the milk circuits (see page 26); - Perform a cleaning cycle on the coffee circuits (see page 25). - With the machine off ("Cleaning and Maintenance" section): - Empty, wash and dry all the containers of the machine. - Remove and clean the brew group, and lubricate its guides. - Thoroughly clean the cappuccinatore. - Remove coffee from the coffee bean hopper and keep it in an airtight sealed container. - Unplug the machine from the power socket. - Store the machine in a dry place, away from dust and out of the reach of children. - Store the machine in a room where temperature never goes below 5°C (41°F) in order to prevent the internal parts of the machine from getting damaged by water freezing. RESTARTING THE MACHINE These instructions should be followed when the machine is restarted after a prolonged period of inactivity. Before proceeding with the following steps, perform the "Starting the Machine" operations as explained on page 5. - With the machine on: - Perform a rinse cycle on the milk circuits (see page 24); - Perform a cleaning cycle on the coffee circuits (see page 25). - Check that the machine parts are clean. The machine is now ready for use.
