The remote control receiver is on the front of the camera. Operate the remote control unit toward the camera lens. 1 Press the ( button in Capture mode to display < on the LCD 38 monitor. Depending on the previous setting, < or > appears. The zoom position changes each time the zoom button is pressed in the following sequence: tele ´ middle ´ wide 3 Press the shutter release button fully on the remote control unit. < The picture is taken immediately. > The self-timer lamp blinks quickly and the picture is taken after approximately three seconds. Focusing may be compromised if you move the camera while the self-timer lamp is blinking. • The buttons on the camera can be used in the normal way. • Ensure that the remote control unit is no more than 4 m (13 ft.) away from the front of the camera. 72
