Recording Compensating the Exposure Applicable modes: Use this function when you cannot achieve appropriate exposure due to the difference in brightness between the subject and the background. Underexposed Properly exposed Overexposed Compensate the exposure towards positive. 1 Press 3 [È] to display [Exposure Comp.]. Compensate the exposure towards negative. 2 Press 2/1 to compensate the exposure and then press [MENU/SET]. • The exposure compensation value appears on the screen. • Select [0 EV] to return to the original exposure. • "EV" is an abbreviation of "Exposure Value", a unit indicating the amount of exposure. The EV changes with the aperture value or the shutter speed. • When [Exposure Comp. Reset] in the [Setup] menu is set to [OFF], the current exposure value will be maintained even if you turn off the camera. • This function is not available in the following case: - [Starry Sky] (Scene Mode) - 54 -

Compensating the Exposure
Applicable modes:
Use this function when you cannot achieve appropriate exposure due to the difference in
brightness between the subject and the background.

Comp.].
“EV” is an abbreviation of “Exposure Value”, a unit indicating the amount of exposure.
The EV changes with the aperture value or the shutter speed.
When
[Exposure Comp. Reset] in the [Setup] menu is set to [OFF], the current exposure value will be
maintained even if you turn off the camera.
This function is not available in the following case:
[Starry Sky] (Scene Mode)
Underexposed
Properly exposed
Overexposed
Compensate the exposure
