8 WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE EQUIPMENT Regular Maintenance We recommend that you clean the following portions weekly so that the originals can always be scanned in unsoiled conditions.  Be careful not to scratch the portions when cleaning them.  When cleaning the surface of the equipment, do not use such organic solvents as thinner or benzine. - This could warp the shape of the surface or leave it discolored. - When using a chemical cleaning pad to clean it, follow the instructions. 2 3 4 1 1. If there are still stains remaining, wipe clean with a piece of soft cloth which has been moistened with water and then squeezed well.
