Solenoid Brake Description Brake will keep spoked pulley from moving when engaged. Brake MUST be disengaged to manually push gate open (Backdriven). Connected to 120 Vac Only NO DC2000 Backup Brake Power (See Important below) Solenoid Brake Disengaged Solenoid Brake Engaged • Operator's normal gate cycle. • AC power failure. • Stop/Reset button has been pressed ONLY once. • Gate in closed position with normal AC power. • Stop/Reset button has been pressed twice. Optional Factory Installed DC2000 Backup System Opens or closes the gate with dedicated devices wired directly to the DC2000 when the AC power fails at the operator. (Refer to pages 30 through 32 in the manual) WARNING To reduce the risk of INJURY, dedicated devices MUST be far enough from the gate so that the user is prevented from coming in contact with the gate while operating the controls. IMPORTANT The DC2000 WILL NOT operate an Emergency Key Switch (Knox Box) wired to the operator's surge suppressor when the AC power fails at the operator. If this AC power failure occurs, the solenoid brake will be disengaged regardless of the DC2000's battery power . The gate can be manually pushed opened at any time as long as there is NO AC power at the operator.
