Card stock and label guidelines When printing on labels: • From Print Properties or the printer control panel, set the Paper type to Labels. • Do not load labels together with paper or transparencies in the same paper tray. Combining print materials can cause feeding problems. • Use only letter-, A4-, and legal-size label sheets. • Use full label sheets. Partial sheets may cause labels to peel off during printing, resulting in a paper jam. Adhesive material may contaminate your printer. It could also void your printer and cartridge warranties. • Do not use vinyl labels. When printing on card stock: • From Print Properties or the printer control panel, set the Paper type to Thin Card Stock or Thick Card Stock. • Do not use card stock that is creased. It may cause paper jams. Lexmark X642e The Lexmark X642e prints on many labels designed for use with laser printers.
