Serial Configuration For local configuration, a terminal or a PC running a terminal emulation program can be connected to the Device Server's first serial port (CH 1). The terminal (or emulation) must be configured for 9600 baud, 8-bit, no parity, and 1 stop bit, no flow control. To enter Setup (configuration) Mode, cycle the Device Server's power (power off and back on). After power-up, the self-test begins and the Diagnostic and Status LEDs start blinking. You must enter three lowercase "x" characters (xxx) within one second after powering up in order to start the configuration mode. Note: The easiest way to enter Setup Mode is to hold down the "x" key on your keyboard while powering up the Device Server. 4
