The battery must be fully charged before using the radio for the first time For this, connect the "DC IN" connection with the supplied USB mains adapter and plug it in an easily accessible socket. While charging is in progress the LED lights up red above the connection. As soon as the battery is fully charged the control light goes out. The usual charging time for an empty batter is approx. 4-6 hours. You can use the radio while the charging is in progress, but doing so would prolong the charging time. • D epending on environmental conditions, volume, etc. the playback time is approx. 5-7 hours (with 50% volume). • T o maintain the full capacity of the battery as long as possible, you should fully charge the battery every 2 to 3 months, even if you do not use the radio. • C harge the battery in ambient temperature of between 0 and +40°C. • T he battery maintains it's charge best at room temperature. • T he lower the ambient temperature, the shorter the playback time. • T he battery must be charged when the battery empty symbol appears on the Display. Attention: The alarm function is not available in battery mode. 8

4.4 Charging the battery
To prevent the built-in battery from being damaged, it should be only half charged upon purchase. The
battery must be fully charged before using the radio for the first time
For this, connect the
"DC IN"
connection with the supplied USB mains adapter and plug it in an easily
accessible socket.
While charging is in progress the LED lights up red above the connection. As soon as the battery is fully
