12.3 Removing/Installing Standard Back Upholstery. 12 SEAT/BACK Removing 1. Remove the back. Refer to Removing/Installing the Back on page 84. 2. Remove the mounting screw (A) that secures the back upholstery (B) to the back canes (C). 3. Remove the back upholstery from the back canes. Installing 1. Slide the back canes into the back upholstery. 2. Secure the back upholstery to the back canes with two mountings screws. 3. Install the back. Refer to Removing/Installing the Back on page 84. C B A C FIGURE 3 Removing/Installing Standard Back Upholstery. 12.4 Adjustable Back Upholstery Adjustable Tension Straps The adjuster straps can be adjusted at various levels of tension to accommodate individual end-users. In a typical scenario, the bottom two straps can be adjusted tightly to support and/or assist the extensor muscles. Back Upholstery Cover The back upholstery cover is designed for three reasons: 1. The first is as a modesty cover. 2. The second is to keeps the cushion from sliding out of the back of the wheelchair. 3. Removing
1.
Remove the back. Refer to Removing/Installing the Back
on page 84.
2.
Remove the mounting screw (A) that secures the back upholstery
(B) to the back canes (C).
3.
Remove the back upholstery from the back canes.
Installing
1.
Slide the back canes into the back upholstery.
2.
Secure the back upholstery to the back canes with two mountings
screws.
3.
Install the back. Refer to Removing/Installing the Back
on page 84.

Adjustable Back Upholstery
Adjustable Tension Straps
