7 TRANSPORT 7.1 Safety information WARNING! Risk of injury if wheelchair is not secured during transport Your wheelchair is not designed for passenger transport in vehicles. You could suffer serious injury in an accident. - During transport, sit in a correctly secured seat, not in the wheelchair. WARNING! Risk of injury if the wheelchair is not properly secured In the event of an accident, braking manoeuvre, etc. you may suffer serious injuries from flying wheelchair parts. - Always remove the rear wheels when transporting the wheelchair. - Firmly secure all wheelchair components in the means of transport to prevent them from coming loose during the journey. IMPORTANT! Excessive wear and abrasion could affect the strength of load-bearing parts. - Do not pull your wheelchair across abrasive surfaces without the wheels fitted (e.g. pulling the frame over tarmac). 1605621-B Transport 7.2 Folding and unfolding the wheelchair CAUTION! Risk of getting fingers caught Your fingers can be caught between the parts of the folding mechanism or between the scissor lever and the end stop. - Never clasp the folding mechanism with your hands, when folding or unfolding the wheelchair. - Only use the pull-cords to fold or unfold the wheelchair. Folding the wheelchair 1. Remove the seat cushion, if present. 2.
