If necessary, press lightly on the top-center of the module to facilitate insertion. Reconnect the cables. Verifying proper operation After replacing the I/O module, check the module status. For LED descriptions, see Table 1 (page 1). If the Fault/Service Required LED is amber, the module is not online and likely failed its self-test. Remove and reinstall the module. Documentation feedback Send any errors, suggestions, or comments to Documentation Feedback ([email protected]). Updating firmware IMPORTANT: In dual I/O module configurations, firmware does not clone from one I/O module to the other. You must individually update the firmware on each I/O module to the latest version. After installing a new I/O module, verify that the latest firmware is installed on all I/O modules in the enclosure. Go to the HP Support Center website and navigate to the page for your enclosure. If newer firmware is available, download the firmware to your local system and install that latest version on the modules. For more information on firmware updates, see the HP StorageWorks 2000 G2 Modular Smart Array Reference Guide or HP StorageWorks 2000 Family Modular Smart Array Reference Guide. Page 2
