DE After you have installed the replacement duplexer/ink container, follow these steps to reset the duplex module counter. 1. Determine the firmware version on your printer. The steps for obtaining the firmware version will differ depending on your printer model. Find your printer model in the options below, and then follow the steps provided to obtain the firmware version. For X476, X551, and X576 models: a. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the "?" that appears at the top right corner of the screen. b. Touch Printer Information. c. O n the printer information screen, look for the line labeled FW Version. The FW version number is a string of letters and numbers. d. To determine the firmware version, look for the four numbers that appear before the two letters at the end. For example, if the firmware version number is LWP1CN1548AR, then "1548" indicates the version. For X451 models: a. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, press the button next to Setup. b. Press the button next to Print Reports. c. Press OK next to Printer Status Report. d. On the Printer Status Report, look for the line that shows Firmware Version. The firmware version number is a string of letters and numbers. e. To determine the firmware version, look for the four numbers that appear before the two letters at the end. For example, if the firmware version number is LWP1CN1548AR, then "1548" indicates the version. 2. Reset the duplex module counter. The steps to reset the duplex module counter differ depending on the firmware version and model of your printer. For units running firmware version 1548 or later, find your printer model in the options below, and then follow the steps provided to reset the duplex module counter. For X476, X551, and X576 models: a. From the Home screen, touch the Right arrow ( ), and then touch the Setup icon ( ). b. Touch Tools. c. Touch the down arrow ( ) until Replace Duplex Module appears. d. Touch Replace Duplex Module then touch OK. For X451 models: a. From the Home screen, press the button next to Setup. b. Press the bottom right ATM button until Tools displays, and press OK. c. Press the bottom right ATM button until Reset Duplex Module displays, and then press OK. For units running firmware versions older than 1548, find your printer model in the options below, and then follow the steps provided to reset the duplex module counter. For X476, X551, and X576 models: a. From the Home screen, touch the Back button ( ) four times. b. Touch the Support menu. c. Touch the Right arrow button ( ) until System Configuration Menu displays, and then touch OK. d. Touch the Right arrow button ( ) until Service Ink Container or Duplex Module displays, and then touch OK. e. Touch the Right arrow button ( ) until Replace Duplex Module displays, and then touch OK. The message "Installed New Duplex Module?" will display on the screen. f. Touch OK to reset the counter. g. Touch the Cancel button ( ) about four times until you return to the Home Screen. For X451 models: a. From the Home screen, press the Back button ( ) to get to the ink levels screen. b. F rom the ink levels screen, press the Back button ( ), press the Cancel button ( ), and then press the Back button ( times. The Support Menu option will display. c. Press OK. d. Press the bottom right ATM button until Service Ink Container or Duplex Module displays, and then press OK. e. P ress the bottom right ATM button until Replace Duplex Module displays, and then press OK. The message "Installed New Duplex Module?" will display on the screen. f. Press OK to reset the counter. g. Press the Cancel button ( ) to return to the Home screen. ) two more 5
