A More theory Software settings The following software settings can be configured in the SysTab editor to support changes in the hardware configuration of your press. When installing the dripping reduction kit, set the following SysTab parameters: ● Set the parameter engineConfigTopic > ihhInstalled to HT_VER1. ● Set the parameter engineConfigTopic > feedSuctionNautilairInstalled to TRUE. ● Set the parameter bypassTableTopic > ihh to FALSE. When uninstalling the dripping reduction kit, set the following SysTab parameters: ● Set the parameter engineConfigTopic > ihhInstalled to HT_NOT_INSTALLED. ● Set the parameter engineConfigTopic > feedSuctionNautilairInstalled to FALSE. ● Set the parameter bypassTableTopic > ihh to TRUE. Theory for presses without external IHH controller ● PDB acts as controller for IHH heater using PID algorithm. ● PID Control: Proportional: The proportional term produces an output value that is proportional to the current error value. ● Derivative: The derivative of the process error is calculated by determining the slope of the error over time and multiplying this rate of change by the derivative gain Kd. ● Integral: The contribution from the integral term is proportional to both the magnitude of the error and the duration of the error. The integral in a PID controller is the sum of the instantaneous error over time. More theory 63
