Troubleshooting customer-level issues To troubleshooting customer-level issues, see Charge Roller Operating Principles and Maintenance Guide (CA393-03440). Troubleshooting the high voltage connection failure It explains how to troubleshoot the high voltage connection failure. Overview The charge roller charges the PIP to -900 V. Before every print, the electrometer determines whether or not the PIP is higher than -600 V. If not, the "PIP Charge is below minimum limit" error appears. The "PIP Charge is below minimum limit" error can be caused by: ● PIP slipped from its holder ● PIP is positioned incorrectly ● Electrometer reading/calibration error ● The PIP is exposed to light (such as open doors or the writing head laser is on) ● PIP ground contact failure ● Charge roller contact failure ● Charge roller engage failure ● Writing head is not level ● CRU power needs to be reset Other charge roller errors can be caused when: ● Charge roller housing and brushes are dirty ● Charge roller needs to be replaced ● DCI needs to be replaced Checking the Systab IO values Follow these steps to check the systab IO values. Troubleshooting customer-level issues
To troubleshooting customer-level issues, see
Charge Roller Operating Principles and Maintenance Guide
(CA393-03440).
Troubleshooting the high voltage connection failure
It explains how to troubleshoot the high voltage connection failure.
Overview
The charge roller charges the PIP to -900 V. Before every print, the electrometer determines whether or not
the PIP is higher than -600 V. If not, the “PIP Charge is below minimum limit” error appears.
The “PIP Charge is below minimum limit” error can be caused by:
PIP slipped from its holder
PIP is positioned incorrectly
Electrometer reading/calibration error
The PIP is exposed to light (such as open doors or the writing head laser is on)
PIP ground contact failure
Charge roller contact failure
Charge roller engage failure
Writing head is not level
CRU power needs to be reset
Other charge roller errors can be caused when:
Charge roller housing and brushes are dirty
Charge roller needs to be replaced
DCI needs to be replaced
Checking the Systab IO values
Follow these steps to check the systab IO values.
