Card-Reader Board Removing The Card-Reader Board 1. Follow the procedures in Before Working on Your Computer. 2. Remove the Secure Digital (SD) card. 3. Remove the base cover. 4. Remove the battery. 5. Remove the audio and hard drive assembly. 6. Disconnect the card-reader cable from the system board. 7. Remove the screws that secure the card-reader board to the computer. 8. Lift the card-reader board and remove it from the computer. NOTE: To replace the card-reader board, see Installing The Card-Reader Board. 51

Removing The Card-Reader Board
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working on Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the
Secure Digital (SD) card
.
3.
Remove the
base cover
.
4.
Remove the
battery
.
5.
Remove the
audio and hard drive assembly
.
6.
Disconnect the card-reader cable from the system board.
7.
Remove the screws that secure the card-reader board to the computer.
8.
Lift the card-reader board and remove it from the computer.
