Procedure NOTE: If the rubber grommets are pushed out of the speakers when removing the speakers, push them back in place before replacing the speakers. 1 Using the alignment posts and rubber grommets, place the right speaker in the slot on the palm-rest assembly. 2 Holding the tab on the right speaker, rotate the right speaker into place and secure it using the alignment posts. 3 Route the speaker cable through the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly. 4 Using the alignment posts and rubber grommets, place the left speaker in the slot on the palm-rest assembly. 5 Holding the tab on the left speaker, rotate the left speaker into place and secure it using the alignment posts. 6 Connect the speaker cable to the system board. Post-requisites 1 Follow the procedure from step 4 to step 7 in Replacing the hard drive. 2 Replace the solid-state drive (in SSD2 slot). 3 Replace the battery. 44

Procedure
NOTE: If the rubber grommets are pushed out of the speakers when removing the speakers, push them back in place
before replacing the speakers.

Using the alignment posts and rubber grommets, place the right speaker in the slot on the palm-rest assembly.

Holding the tab on the right speaker, rotate the right speaker into place and secure it using the alignment posts.

Route the speaker cable through the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.

Using the alignment posts and rubber grommets, place the left speaker in the slot on the palm-rest assembly.

Holding the tab on the left speaker, rotate the left speaker into place and secure it using the alignment posts.
6
Connect the speaker cable to the system board.
