Section 4 - Configuration - Router Mode PPPoE Select PPPoE if your Internet connection requires you to enter a username and password. This information is provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Username: Enter the username provided by your ISP. Password: Enter the password provided by your ISP. Reconnect Mode: Select either Always-on, On-Demand, or Manual. Maximum Idle Enter a maximum idle time during which the Internet connection Time: is maintained during inactivity. To disable this feature, enable Autoreconnect. Advanced Settings Address Mode: Select Static IP if your ISP assigned you the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server addresses. In most cases, select Dynamic IP. Dynamic IP IP Address: Enter the IP address provided by your ISP (Static IP only). Service Name: Enter the ISP service name (optional). Primary DNS Enter the primary DNS server IP address assigned by your ISP. Server: Secondary DNS Enter the secondary DNS server IP address assigned by your ISP. Server: MTU: Maximum Transmission Unit - you may need to change the MTU for optimal performance with your ISP. The recommended setting is Auto. D-Link DIR-869 User Manual 42
