1.9 Internal connectors 1. SATA 6 Gb/s connectors The SATA 6Gb/s connector allows you to connect SATA devices such as optical disc drives and hard disk drives via a SATA cable. Chapter 1 If you installed SATA storage devices, you can create a RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 configuration with the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology through the onboard Intel® X299 chipset. • The connectors are set to [IRST Mode] by default. • When using the M.2_2 socket with SATA bandwidth, the SATA6G_1 connector will be disabled. • Before creating a RAID set, refer to the RAID Configuration Guide. The SATA 6Gb/s connector allows you to connect SATA devices such as optical disc
drives and hard disk drives via a SATA cable.
If you installed SATA storage devices, you can create a RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 configuration
with the Intel

X299 chipset.
