INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS EAU38405 Adjusting the shock absorber assembly This shock absorber assembly is equipped with a spring preload adjusting nut. ECA10101 NOTICE 1. Hole 2. Holder 1. Fastener 4 To avoid damaging the mechanism, do not attempt to turn beyond the maximum or minimum settings. Adjust the spring preload as follows. 3. Insert the fasteners through the holes in the sidecase into their holders, and then turn them clockwise until they stop. 4. Close the sidecase lid. WARNING! Make sure that all the fasteners in both sidecases are turned completely clockwise before riding. [EWA16210] 1. Locknut 2. Spring preload adjusting nut 1. Fastener 1. Loosen the locknut. 2.
