EBU27681 Troubleshooting charts Starting problems or poor engine performance 1. Fuel Check the fuel level in the fuel tank. There is enough fuel. There is no fuel. Check the compression. Supply fuel. The engine does not start. Check the compression. 2. Compression Operate the electric starter. There is compression. There is no compression. Check the ignition. Have a Yamaha dealer check the ATV. Operate the electric starter. The engine does not start. Check the battery. 8 3. Ignition Remove the spark plug and check the electrodes. Wet Dry Wipe off with a dry cloth and correct the spark plug gap, or replace the spark plug. Have a Yamaha dealer check the ATV. 4. Battery Operate the electric starter.
