PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR The coolant must be changed at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication chart. Have a Yamaha dealer change the coolant. EAU35193 Cleaning the air filter elements The air filter elements should be cleaned at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication chart. Clean the air filter elements more frequently if you are riding in unusually wet or dusty areas. 1. Remove cowlings A and B. (See page 7-8.) NOTE: Continue as follows for each air filter element. 2. Remove the air filter case bolts. 3. Loosen the air filter case joint clamp screw, and then pull the air filter case off. 1. Air filter case joint clamp screw 4.
