PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR ECA10480 CAUTION: G G 1. Air filter element Make sure that the air filter element is properly seated in the air filter case. The engine should never be operated without the air filter element installed, otherwise the piston(s) and/or cylinder(s) may become excessively worn. NOTE: If dust or water collects in the air filter check hose, remove the clamp from it, and then remove the plug to drain the hose. 4. Insert the air filter element into the air filter case as shown. 5. Install the air filter case cover by aligning the match marks and installing the bolts. 6 1. Air filter check hose 1.
