EBU00440 Troubleshooting chart There is fuel. 1. Fuel Check if there is fuel in the fuel tank. Some fuel. Turn the fuel cock lever to "OFF". Turn the fuel cock to "RES". Remove the fuel hose. Turn the fuel cock lever to "ON". Check fuel flow. No fuel. Restart engine. Fuel cock clogged. No fuel. Supply fuel. Clean fuel cock. 2. Compression Use electric starter to see if there is compression. There is compression. Compression normal. No compression. Ask a Yamaha dealer to inspect. 3. Ignition Remove spark plug and check electrodes. Wet Wipe clean with dry cloth. Spark good. Attach spark plug cap and ground to chassis. Use the electric starter. Ignition system normal. Dry Spark weak. Adjust plug gap or replace plug. 4. Battery Use electric starter. Engine turns over quickly. Engine turns over slowly. No spark. Battery good. Check fluid, recharge, check connections. Ask a Yamaha dealer to inspect. 8-51
